The Academic Advisor (AA) scheme has been implemented in the Department of Accounting and Finance since the 2018–2019 academic year, serving as a link between students and teaching staff and helping to facilitate communication between students and the University’s structures and services.
Each Academic Advisor is responsible for monitoring the academic progress of a small number of students throughout the duration of their studies. This support is provided through regular communication with students, with the aim of encouraging them to improve their academic performance and assisting them in addressing any difficulties that may arise during their studies.
The overall purpose of the scheme is to enhance the academic experience of undergraduate students by strengthening personal communication with academic staff and providing students with responsible guidance, advice, and support throughout their academic journey.
